New Hampshire Safety and Emissions Inspections at Lovering
Lovering Volvo of Nashua near Chelmsford is authorized to perform New Hampshire state vehicle inspections. All new vehicles must receive a safety inspection within ten days of registration, as well as every consecutive year by the end of the owner’s birth month. Vehicles that also switch owners must be re-inspected within ten days of the registration date, even if the inspection sticker has not expired.

Once your vehicle passes the inspection, the information will be electronically transferred to the DMV, and you will be issued an inspection sticker as well as a Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR).
What Does the Inspection Involve?
Vehicles with a model year of 1996 or newer must undergo an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) test.
