2017 Volvo S60
This year the S60 won the Top Safety Pick+ award and received a rating of “Good” in all of the crash test segments. The S60 has been awarded the Top Safety Pick+ award for many years: 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013. New to the IIHS safety tests in 2017, is the headlight and ease of use for child seats. The S60 scored an acceptable rating in those two segments.
Before the Top Safety Pick+ award had come about, the S60 was awarded the top safety rating of Top Safety Pick in 2011 and 2012. Come check out the one of the safest sedans on the market today!
2017 Volvo S90
Volvo’s newest model, the Volvo S90 sedan, was awarded the Top Safety Pick award this year. The S80’s replacement sedan received a rating of Good in all of the crash tests including: Small overlap front, Moderate overlap front, Side, Roof strength, Head restraints & seats. The crash avoidance and mitigation rating was Superior. Headlights in the Volvo S90 were rated as Marginal, and the ease of use of the child seat anchors were Acceptable.
2017 Volvo V60
The 2017 Volvo V60 has yet again won the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award. This vehicle has received a rating of, “Good,” the highest ranking possible, in all dimensions of crash safety. This includes, the small front overlap test, the moderate overlap front test, the side crash test, the roof strength, and the head and seat restraints.
2017 Volvo XC60
The 2017 Volvo XC60 is yet another IIHS Top Safety Pick+ winner this year. The 5-seater Volvo SUV received the top rating of, “Good” in all crash tests and received an overall rating of Superior.
2017 Volvo XC90
The all-new re-designed XC90 received the Top Safety Pick award. This vehicle showed the auto industry the newest in safety features that aren’t going to be found elsewhere on the market. Like the other Volvo models to receive this award, the XC90 received a rating of Good on all of the crash safety ratings, and also received a Superior rating for overall crash prevention.
