Special Edition Inscription Closes Out the Volvo C70 Run

Volvo fans such as those at Lovering Volvo in Nashua are sad to bid the Volvo C70 farewell. But before the automaker ceases production of the hard-top convertible in 2013, it's giving us a little going-away prize. At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, Volvo released a special edition C70 Inscription.

Limited to a 2,000-unit worldwide run, the last C70 boasts a plethora of unique features guaranteed to leave an imprint on the model's reputation. Doug Speck, Senior VP of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, says, "The Inscription is based on our human-centric Designed Around You philosophy, offering those who love convertibles and coupes a beautifully detailed version with a lot of kerb appeal."1

Like the name itself, the new convertible variant creates an impression wherever it is placed. Embellished in one of three sharp hues (Black Stone, Black Sapphire or Ice White), the Inscription wears 18-inch wheels, a high-gloss paint job on the grille, LED Daytime Running Lights and contrasting chrome. Inside, the upcoming Volvo C70 packs special edition carpets, sports pedals with aluminum inlay, Sovereign Hide upholstery, a leather-covered dash and front headrests adorned with the model name. As for the drive, consumers may choose between the following options:

-          5-cylinder turbocharged T5 (230-hp)
-          5-cylinder turbodiesel D4 (177-hp)
-          5-cylinder turbodiesel D3 (150-hp)

As we previously mentioned, the Volvo C70 Inscription is limited in production, so be sure to contact Lovering Volvo in Nashua if you're interested.
