Volvo Receives Straight G's From IIHS

Every year the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) determines which makes and models are safest. Continuing in its path of ultimate driver/passenger protection, Volvo has received not one, but five "IIHS 2012 Top Safety Pick" awards. Wondering which models made the cut? Lovering Volvo in Nashua won't keep you waiting any longer. The following beautifully designed vehicles displayed top-of-the-line safety.
- Volvo S80- Volvo S60
- Volvo C30
- Volvo XC60
- Volvo SC90
In order to get the IIHS seal of approval, vehicles must complete a series of tests and emerge with straight G's. For those not familiar with the grading system, "G" stands for "good" and is the highest scoring attainable. All five Volvo models easily met the criteria by performing extremely well in the four tested categories: front offset, side impact, rear crash protection and roof strength.
While all new Volvo vehicles contain safety features such as standard side airbags which help in crash protection, they also are designed to keep accidents from occurring. Take the XC60 for example. The dependable crossover comes with features including rear fog lights, daytime running lights, Driver Alert Control, Lane Departure warning and Dynamic Stability and Traction Control...to name a few.
